El Asbesto fue estudiado por anteriores grupos de trabajo de la Agencia Internacional para la investigación del cáncer en 1972, 1976 y 1987 (IARC, 1973, 1977, 1987a). Desde esa fecha, nuevas informaciones han entrado a estar disponibles y han sido incorporadas en la presente monografía, y tomadas en consideración para la presente evaluación.

Asbestos was considered by previous IARC Working Groups in 1972, 1976, and 1987 (IARC,
1973, 1977, 1987a). Since that time, new data have become available, these have been incorporated
in the Monograph, and taken into consideration in the present evaluation.
